The book of Daniel is a unique and fascinating work and, in its prophetic section, the premonitory and apocalyptic elements that form the basis of Christian eschatology abound. The message is simple and great at the same time: God has control of History and can keep yours always.

The four beasts of Daniel 7: 3 are considered to be the four great world powers, the Babylonians, the Fear-Persians, the Greco-Macedonians, and the Romans. The second vision (Daniel 8: 1) is conceptualized as a reference to the government of the Greeks under Alexander the Great. The kingdom mentioned in chapter 9 is the Mesianic government of the kingdom of Christ. The view in chapters 10-12 is considered to be a reference to the end of the centuries.

The Book of Daniel can be called the Apocalypse of the Old Testament and is a biblical book of the Old Testament and of the Hebrew Tanaj, that in the Christian bibles is located between the books of Ezequiel and Oseas.

It is the sixth of the prophetic books and includes? S Christians? the Greater Prophets (of which it is the fourth, after Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel).

While Daniel was praying, Angel Gabriel appeared to him and gave him a vision of Israel's future.
