If you don't have a list, you can set one up on Threads when you download the app:
- Open Threads.
- From the camera, tap Home at the top.
- Tap the hamburger menu in the top left.
- Tap Close Friends.
- Tap next to your friend's name to add or remove them from your close friends list.
- Tap Done.

To get Threads, you have to download it separately but you need to log in with your Instagram account. This will import your Close Friends list, a feature that lets you select a handful of people to see privileged content from you. Threads will only show these people so you can easily contact them and share your stuff.

To remove your status on Threads:
- From the camera tap your status in the top left.
- Tap your existing status, then tap in the bottom right (iPhone) or tap next to your existing status (Android).
- Tap Clear status (iPhone) or CLEAR (Android).

You can upload and share your Threads video just like any other video to both your Instagram Stories and your feed. The only negative with Threads is that it only captions segments of 15 seconds or less so if you have a longer video you have to break it up into shorter pieces.
