• Is the Robinhood app legit?
  YES–Robinhood is absolutely safe. Your funds on Robinhood are protected up to $500,000 for securities and $250,000 for cash claims because they are a member of the SIPC. Furthermore, Robinhood is a securities brokerage and as such, securities brokerages are regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
• What is bad about Robinhood?
  Robinhood provides a bare-bones trading experience, making it a poor choice for investors seeking the best trading platform. Also, Robinhood's stock research tools are severely lacking when compared to $0 brokers such as TD Ameritrade, Charles Schwab, and Fidelity.
• What is the catch with Robinhood?
  The big catch is that Robinhood sells the data that you are trying to purchase a stock to high frequency traders so that the HFT can buy it before you and sell it to you at a higher price. This Robinhood is stealing from the middle class to give to the ultr wealthy.
• Is Robinhood good for beginners?
  Robinhood is a pioneer in the no-commission brokerage model. It remains a solid choice for beginners, as they can invest in stocks, ETFs, and options with zero commissions.
• What is the downside to Robinhood?
  Its options trading function is clunky. Extremely limited customer service. Robinhood does not offer phone or live chat support. That's disappointing, especially considering the low barrier to entry for riskier types of trades and the relatively young and inexperienced demographic to which Robinhood caters.
• Is there a catch with Robinhood?
  The catch is it lacks robust trading/research systems, and only provides market orders. If you're doing long term plays or are not concerned with your entry prices than it's fantastic. A simple way around the lack of systems is to use fidelity or any other brokerage system to research and then execute on Robinhood.

  We initially planned to launch Robinhood in the UK in 2020. A lot changed in the world in the first half of 2020, and so we made the difficult decision to postpone our UK launch indefinitely in July 2020.
